Murals

Here are some murals :)

The one on the left is mine, the middle is Maggie Wooten's, and then Kate Swartz on the right.

It was one heck of a night. Lots of fun though. Both of them will be gone next semester, but it was good to get to know them a little better haha

Have a wonderful evening!

What a Day!

Oh Good Noon to you!

It's been such a crazy last few weeks. It's almost time for Thanksgiving and I'm very excited about it.

Last night I printed my first mural! It's huge and awesome! However I do not have a picture :(

Here lately I have been really considering my Thesis for next semester. I have so much to do to finish out my research for it this semester. The Palmer Home for Children is my concentration for thesis work. I will be creating a documentary. Right now however my mind has been spinning to incorporate some mixed media with the pictures veering away from the traditional documentary photography. I really think it could be just as much of a documentary as I incorporate work from the children with my photographs. I wish I could share my pictures with you but I'm am not allowed for the sake of privacy for the children and those who live there and take care of the children. They have been wonderful and its been such a blessing to work with them.

I have been searching for artists inspirations. If you have any suggestions let me know, I would love to hear :)

Right now one of my inspirations is Judith Henry. I am really drawn to her "where I am now" series. It is photography collaged together with elements of tape and ink. Although I would not want to right over the tops of these pictures. I find them inspiring.

Anyways I really need to go work on getting these images printed.

I hope you all have a blessed day!

Sneak Peak. Andrew + Kim definitely a perfect match

Ok so I took engagement pictures two weeks ago and then school hit me like a ton of bricks. It's finally lightening up and I'm hoping the bricks stay away for a little bit.

Anyways Kim Tootle and Andrew Torries. They were precious and I'm so excited I get to be apart of this time in their lives. Kim and I met freshman year in Drawing 1. She is so sweet and full of creative ideas. Andrew is a civil engineer. Kim and I both agree everyone should have an Andrew ;) haha

By the way they have started a little business. Its called you and me woodworks. If you have facebook check them out. http://www.facebook.com/pages/You-Me-Woodworks/112343418829508

Now to the sneak peak :) These are just a few that I got to edit today. I'll be editing more this weekend.

Enjoy

Just outside the door

I find it a relief when I can walk outside and see something look so beautiful that my mind can only think of the ultimate artist. Compliments of the Creator Lord Almighty himself.

I took this a few weeks ago as well when it felt like fall for probably the first time this semester. I walked outside and saw such beautiful colors. I wanted a picture and the only thing I had was 35mm black and white in my hand. Even though you can't see the true colors of the day, I think it was truly worth black and white.

Family

A few weekends ago I went to spend time with my family. They are always so much fun. It's different now tho. My grandfather is gone. I wish I would have taken more pictures when he was there. I know that I can't do anything about that so that weekend I decided it was picture time since I don't see them often. They are so funny! I love them! The guys watched Football and the girls well we went through my grandmothers old patterns and some of her outfits that she made herself. However, when I developed my film, I messed up some pictures. I'll have to retake them next time I'm there :)
