Wildfires and Mood Rings

Hello all,

I hope you are enjoying this impeccable joyful weather! I am in the state of Texas right now finding myself. ha not really. I am actually visiting with my best friend who now lives here with her husband. The trip was ten hours so good thing we haven't talked to much. We filled the whole ten hours with conversations about life and good ole memories. I know your thinking how could you talk for ten hours...but it's possible. Yes yes. We stopped at Cracker Barrel and left with a box of 1970s candies, cheerwine, and root beer. Yummm :) Our favorite phrase of the trip came right off the back of the box "candies so good, it'll turn your mood ring blue". Now that is some intense candy ;) Texas is extremely dry right now. They have signs over the roads saying look for smoke and danger and then we saw a ton of smoke not too far from the road right after we entered the state.
Yesterday we ventured out to the town square and visited a few antique stores and a tea room for lunch. Anyways, its been fun so far :)

So yesterday I went out an about to find some antique stores in the area. Way out in the middle of some cotton fields in Arkansas is a lady whose home is full of antiques. My brother came along and as soon as she opened the door to her home, my brother and I were amazed by everything she had. Jammed packed, not just on the first floor of her home but the second floor and in three cabins in the backyard. We didn't have enough time to even get through the first floor. Anyways I captured a few pictures of some quirky figures. She had tons of birds and especially owls! I'm hoping we can go back later this week :)

Good afternoon! So I couldn't help myself when I looked outside and could see my moms morning glories vibrant purple and magenta colors! I just had to do a little bit of photographing. 

    I never thought I would say this but I sure do miss school....well more so having access to a lab and especially a darkroom. Right now I am everywhere! Well, at least all my stuff is everywhere. I am partially living out of my car/random belonging in my house/a lot more stuff in storage 4 hrs away! You know you never plan for things to happen but it happened. I'm just hanging around not really in any one spot. I'm definitely ready to have all my supplies in one place so I can get to them when I need them. haha However, I kinda enjoy not knowing where the next week will take me.

    So I ordered scrapes of wallpaper and other old scraps from the Collage Lab by Michelle Caplan. I love her collage portraitures. I think a few of them are absolutely beautiful. You should check her out sometime. :)

There are a few projects I've been thinking about and working out my ideas. I'm just waiting on all my supplies to arrive. I'm extremely excited about them and can't wait to share them with you!
